Longquanyi District "Golden Phoenix" project is a balance of urban and rural education Chengdu Bureau of Education to implement the process in a forceful measures,the project has been implemented over four years,the Government has invested several billion yuan,more than 4,000 students in mountainous areas into the city to study, which benefit as part of their academic proficiency of students how to upgrade the current lack of scientific evaluation. This study report is for the "Golden Phoenix" school students reading the evaluation report, the Government aims to provide a scientific assessment of the project's evaluation data for Chengdu City Bureau of Education to further promote the reform model to provide theoretical support and the reform proposals.The evaluation report includes the status quo assessment and development evaluation in two parts.Situation assessment of mainly four different types of Longquanyi District School eighth-grade students as a sample, through the horizontal comparison in order to determine the "Golden Phoenix" schools the ability to read the status of the region.Development Assessment mainly sixth-grade students and eighth-grade students as a sample, first of all mountains and urban sixth-grade reading ability of students to conduct differential analysis,and then with the "Golden Phoenix" in schools and urban eighth-grade students in other schools to compare differential reading ability, through the study differential narrowed to determine the extent of the "Golden Phoenix" school students to enhance reading ability level. Results:horizontal comparison shows that the "Golden Phoenix" students develop good reading, whether it is the overall reading ability, reading ability, or sub-sample of schools in four are at the middle and upper level;vertical comparison shows that, from the mountains "Golden Phoenix" schools, after more than a year of study in urban areas,their reading ability, compared with urban schools,the gap has greatly narrowed, in some capacity to target even more than urban schools.This result shows the "Golden Phoenix" project on the improvement of the ability of students to read significant results.This study further analyzes the impact of the "Golden Phoenix" school students reading the relevant factors,Context of the specific statistical results,pointed out the problems and put forward the corresponding suggestions for improvement.
