The faculty are the key to the promotion of"Ideological and Political Education"in universities. Based on the relevant theories of education, political science and management disciplines as well as the latest academic achievements at home and abroad, with a aim to enhance the construction level of"Ideological and Political Education"faculty throughout China, and on a basis of in-depth comparison on its faculty in universities between the developed areas and ethnic areas, this thesis has analyzed and pointed out that the faculty construction in different areas have achieved remarkable results, there are some similarities and differences between them, though the gap is not huge. The similarities are as follows: 1) the"Ideological and Political Lesson"faculty construction being emphasized; 2) an appraisal system needing to be established and perfected; 3) the practice teaching being mostly formalistic; 4) academic researches capacity needing to be strengthened; and 5) short of middle-aged academic leaders. The differences are as follows: 1) the faculty construction in different areas facing different challenges; and 2) having their particular advantages and disadvantages. This thesis has analyzed its influencing factors. Based on analysis, specific countermeasures have been proposed for"Ideological and Political Education"faculty construction for the whole nation and different areas of the country. As for the whole nation, awareness shall be raised, discipline construction shall be promoted, and an appraisal system shall be established and improved. In developed regions, the guiding force of socialist culture to ethnic cultures shall be strengthened, stimulating the"education advantage"into a"teaching advantage"and realizing the dynamic management of human resources. In ethnic areas, attention shall be paid to the integration of Marxist theory and local cultures, creating and developing various"Ideological and Political Education"forms with ethnic characteristics, so as to form diversified training platforms for"Ideological and Political Education"faculty, and make the best of network in"Ideological and Political Education"in ethnic areas.
