Research on Course construction of Experiment Designing and application on Middle School Biology begins in the background of enhancing teacher education in East China Normal University and valuing biological experiment designing capacity of teachers in curriculum reform. The author constructs the course in the aspects of curriculum needs analysis, course outline, course content and organization of the implementation, and education evaluation.The author studied Curriculum Theory by Literature method. Curriculum needs were studying through the new biology curriculum standards, the country's five sets of the existing high school biology textbook, the National College Entrance Examination, and high school biology experiment designing knowledge and ability of the undergraduate final year students from Life Science in East China Normal University. Course syllabus was written.The author carried out action research as an assistant involved in all aspects of curriculum implementation. Three-stage management model includes open-question period, the process period, concluding period. The author summarizes relationship between teachers, teaching assistants, students, and laboratory assistant of each period and analyzes the features of course content and achievement of the goals of teaching, the practice of student's ability.The course evaluation system emphasizes self-evaluation and process evaluation, collecting information by questionnaires, and electronic folders. Self-evaluation scores are consistent with normal distribution after 1-sample KS test, indicating self-assessment questionnaire is scientific and reasonable. Folder evaluation of this course is a bright spot providing a very good basis for evaluation.Scores of the students who take the course showed significant differences after SPSS paired samples T test, indicating the biology experiment designing knowledge and ability of students made great progress. The investigated results showed that students were satisfied with our course.After two rounds of action research, study of this course has gradually matured from the exploratory. This course provides an opportunity for experimental designing and application. The course construction makes the teacher education curriculum system better, providing a reference for other similar courses in Normal University.
