In knowledge economy era, science and technology integration and disciplinary integration has become an irresistible trend. In this case, the traditional education mode based on disciplinary division has been hard for the professional personnel training requirements. Science and engineering post graduate education needs to conform to the comprehensive development trend of disciplinary, reforming the personnel training mode.Firstly, this article points out that disciplinary integration is the cross-disciplinary integration on the basis of disciplinary division. Its essence is to bring knowledge synthesis, and thus improve the students'knowledge structure. Then it analyses the special properties and basic laws of science and engineering graduate education, and determines the the ideas of this article.Secondly, using a questionnaire survey and interviews, investigates the general situation of humanities and social science knowledge study of the science and engineering post graduates, curriculum, research, school activities, extracurricular reading, and finds out the problems and the causes existing in science and engineering post graduate education.Thirdly, it studies common characteistics of the national science and engineering graduate education, and studies the situation of science and engineering post graduate education at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and draws some inspiration to improve the quality of science and engineering post graduate education in our country.Finally, based on the investigation and the international comparison, this article puts forwards some countermeasures to enhance the quality of science and engineering post graduate education from the perspectives of subject's integration.
