Entering the new century, quality-oriented education has become a kind of social consensus. As an important base for talent cultivation, universities should insist on the connotative development of higher education generally. And centered on the quality-oriented education, the universities should also cultivate innovative talents with high quality, strong ability and professional skills in the new century. While, it becomes a common centered topic in the foreign universities on how to carry out quality developing plan of science and engineering students effectively, how to define the educational connotation scientifically and how to evaluate the comprehensive quality of science and engineering students generally and objectively. Therefore, the universities should design and make comprehensive quality evaluation system with strong operability and scientific feature so that it can guide the comprehensive quality cultivation of science and engineering students preferably and strengthen the pertinence, initiative and effectiveness in higher quality-oriented education.In this thesis, the author firstly researches on the theories related to the comprehensive quality of the undergraduate at home and abroad. Basing on this analysis, the author introduces the key concepts involved in the comprehensive quality of science and engineering students in detail and the common methods used in the comprehensive quality evaluation. Secondly, by analyzing the elements which influence the comprehensive quality of science and engineering students, the author confirms the principles of comprehensive quality evaluation in KJ University, thus determining the evaluation index system of this thesis. Then, the author demonstrates the evaluation methods and models. At last, 300 questionnaires according to the methods and modelsare presented and interpreted. Thereby, the advantage and shortcoming of the comprehensive quality of science and engineering students in KJ University are revealed, and by analyzing the advantage and shortcoming, the author comes up with the corresponding countermeasure.
