Research On Ritual Education For University Students

The years in university are crucial phases for the students to form the correct outlook on life and the values. However, as young students like to pursue changes and they are with strong sense of independence and less stable psychological quality, they usually behave more impulsively and lack basic etiquettes. If no attention is paid to them, this kind of situation will continue, which will bring no benefits for their growth, and also it will make the educational environment destroyed. What's more, it deviates from the correct way in our country to cultivate talents—training talents qualified and fully developed in all the aspects for the building of socialism. It is demanded to educate the university students with etiquettes for the purpose that they would be able to inherit our good traditions and culture. And it is practically meaningful for the students to have a good self-development, speed the process of their socialization, improve their ideological and moral cultivation and have a good relationship with others. Furthermore, it will help build a harmonious society and improve the citizens'qualities.In the recent years, with the rapid development of society, job seeking is becoming more and more difficult. The employers are asking more for the university graduates. Educating the university students with etiquettes is paid to more and more attention by universities. However, for some practical reasons, the education of etiquettes for university students has not got good effects. In some people's eyes, education of etiquettes is an aspect of basic education which should be completed in the primary and secondary school, so there is no need for the universities to offer such kind of education. In fact, many university students were affected too much by the exam-oriented education in their early age, so the results of the education of etiquettes in primary and secondary school are not as good as we have expected. This is a good reason for the universities to supply good resource of ritual education. At present, there are some problems in the ritual education in universities: 1) some students don't think it is so important to receive ritual education; 2) some universities don't have a strong sense to offer education of traditional etiquettes to the students; 3) the methods in ritual education need to be improved; 4) more practice in ritual education should be done; 5) the resources and ways for ritual education should be innovated; 6) the environment for the education of etiquettes should be improved. These problems still have not been well solved, which result in the lower moral standard, weak sense of etiquettes, lack of knowledge of rituals for the students. It is very important to know the bad results of these problems and it will have a positive impetus to the establishment of a new ritual educational system in universities.How to take some pertinent and effective measures to get good effects in ritual education is an urgent issue in front of the educators in universities. In my view, we should make some explorations in the following directions: 1) strengthening the sense of the students in realizing the importance of ritual education by all kinds of means; 2) enhancing the education of traditional culture to the students; 3) using correct ways in education of etiquettes for the students; 4) building more platforms for the students to practice rites; 5) continuing to innovate the practical carriers for the ritual education; 6) striving to form good educational environment with jointly work.It is not only helpful for the growth of a single student to improve ritual education for the university students but also it is a strong need for the development of the whole society. Only if we find a practical way to solve all the problems in the ritual education in universities, can we serve better for the students'growing into qualified talents, which will consequently make the ritual education into an important method for the improvement of the university students'qualities.
