On the basis of former researches, this thesis aims to carry out a study by making the research questionnaire with the guidance of the suggestions of several experts in fields of education and college education management and then samples of teachers all over the country will be collected through the internet. With the help of SPSS 11.5 and Excel data statistic software, the analysis of the 299 effective data shows that the extent of the college teachers'needs of learning contents differ and their inclinations of ways to learn vary from each other. The statistics present a "long tail" tendency when we put all aspects of the investigation from high to low. The results remain the same either for overall conditions or by classifications of every statistical variable. As for the learning contents of college teachers, those which are related to scientific research are hot choices while such contents like teaching techniques, practical knowledge and personal interests are belong to "long tail" projects. Apparently the college teachers are more concerned about their own research topics and little attention is paid to teaching, and personal overall-development. In our further analysis of the differences, the results display that the teachers show different needs of learning content, different inclinations of teaching methods and the use of internet learning in accordance with their gender, marital status, age, education, of school age, major, titles, and working units. This kind of tendency shows the individualization of teachers in the pursuit of study. Our investigation on "e-learning" demonstrates that most college teachers have accepted the way of "e-learning" and consider this kind of learning will become more and more important, which could also provide individualized services. However, the colleges are still lack of the management of "e-learning". By taking advantage of the talents and majors of the colleges, sharing mechanism of internet resources can be established to promote cooperation and enhance the learning efficiency of the teachers. With the help of multi-methods of "e-learning", the teachers could not only accelerate their own development through communications with the experts of their major, but also advance their personal interests, optimize their own competences and raise their job satisfaction.
