In college, ideological and political theories courses are the main channels to ship Marxism and ideological theories to college students and culture them with right views on their life, the world and values. At present, with the development of socialist market economy and the further opening up situation, college students'moral independence, selectivity and volatility are influenced strengthened obviously in the environment with many culture shocks. Therefore, it is very important to arouse students'motivations to those ideological and political theories courses and learn them well. However, the fact is that our country, society and schools place great emphasis on those courses while the educatees-college students take a negative attitude towards them.At the very beginning, attitude meant the posture or position of the body, which was a man's physical state. Later on, it developed into an important psychology concept, which referred to a man's lasting evaluation intention to the target based on certain notions. It contained cognition, emotion, and action. It influenced what kind of object people would notice, how would people process the information of the object, what kind of feelings would people have on the object and people's potential response to the object. In other words, the result "response" depended on whether people would notice the object and how would they process it and what kind of feelings would people have on it. This was the feature of the object of the attitude. During this course, the feature was confirmed-what was the relationship between people and the object, whether the object had positive meaning or negative one to people. Thus, people would have positive attitude towards the former while negative attitude towards the latter. In this research, the author used three parts to discuss the problem motioned above with the research methods as follows:questionnaire, literature research, analysis by synthesis method, problem analysis by logical approach and psychology research method. The first part was about students'behaviors about their negative attitude towards ideological and political theories courses. The author thought that their negative attitude towards those courses was a kind of inharmony of knowledge, emotion and meaning. Certain reason or some reasons in the process of forming a belief through attention, comprehension and acceptance made college students bear a negative attitude towards those courses. The second part was about the reasons why college students had negative attitude towards those courses. From the psychological and sociological point of view, the author analyzed that reasons fell into four aspects:first of all, students were psychologically different, for example, students'needs were not reasonable; they had shortcomings in the cognitive structure; they were not harmonious to their groups; they had differences in mental characteristics; they were guided by wrong ideal, belief and view of the world. Secondly, teachers'psychological factors had an impact on students, for example, the teacher was not confident; the teacher had wrong evaluation on students. Thirdly, the education itself may have some problems, for example, the education content was not reasonable; the teaching method was not proper. Lastly, the environment influence from our country and abroad was another important reason. The third part was about the solutions. The author proposed some suggestions and solutions to the problem. From the students'side, the teachers should pay close attention to contemporary students'psychological features, perfect the cognitive structure, arouse their interest in those courses and then help them develop the right views on the ideal, the belief and the world. From the teachers'side, teachers should improve their abilities in order to find out proper and creative teaching methods that would adapt to students' psychological needs and then make the courses more attractive. From the environment side, the school and teachers should perfect the education environment to form the atmosphere that can boost positive attitude.Seen students negative attitude towards those courses from the psychological and sociological angle, the author found out the internal causes (students'psychological factors and their emotional conditions) and external causes (teachers'factors, international environment, situations in China and the social reality). Finally, the author gave solutions and suggestions to the problem, which would be helpful for the colleges to make better teaching on those courses. At the same time, it also enlightened us to see other problems from different angles and different subjects.
