Teachers'economic status has an effect on both high-quality team of teachers and the development of education. Therefore, this study on the economic status of teachers in primary and secondary research has important practical significance.This study mainly use questionnaires, at the same time, and it also use interview and documents. The study take Y city of Shanxi 400 teachers of public primary and secondary schools as samples. Based on the economic condition of Y city public primary and secondary schools teachers, the study depicts the economic status of teachers of primary and secondary schools, and analyze the factors that affect the economic status of teachers of primary and secondary schools.The study draws the following conclusions:①In Y city, economic income of teachers mainly comes from the wage-based national financial allocations, supplemented the schools'class fees and allowance.②Wage of teachers has drastically increased, and the income of teachers has also gradually increased.③Economic status of teachers has gradually increased, but compared to the civil servants, the economic status of teachers is still low.④Teachers of different class have large gaps.⑤The main factors that affect the economic status of teachers are teachers'age, teachers'type, and teachers'titles, and the type, quality and location of schools have also affect teachers'economic status.⑥The pain of teachers of primary and secondary schools in Y city is not equal to the pain. On the whole, teachers'economic satisfaction is not high, and they expect to enhance teachers'economic state. Finally, based on teachers'current economic status and the economic diverge between different teachers group. We suggest:①We adhere to regulate education in law and enhance teachers'salary .②We make a sound reward system of teachers and improve the incentive system of teaches.③We improve the schools'internal examination system and develop a rational pay system.④We should reasonably arrange the teachers and settle out the issue of teachers'.
