It’s no doubt that family socio-economic status has impact on the development ofstudents. People have different opinions on how to influence and the degree ofaffection. According to the requirements of the PISA test, and the research extracts atotal of24classes,1164students in the suburbs of Kunming as the measurementobject, divides educational condition into three dimensions: good. Middle and bad,exploring the effect between the students’ family social economy status and student’smathematics accomplishment and the ability of solving problem, as well as therelationship among the family socioeconomic status, parents’ expectation, schooltype, the students’ mathematical literacy and the ability of solving problem. In thisstudy,the research get the following conclusions:First of all, there is a kind of close relationship between family socio-economicstatus and achievement of students. The students with high family’s socio-economicstatus is better than those with low family socio-economic status in mathematicalliteracy and the ability of solving problems. Secondly, the family which the parentswith high education level and the amount of the family’s collection have higherexpectation for their children. The higher the expectations of the parents are, thebetter of the students’ mathematical literacy and problem solving skills. The parents’expectation of boy is little more than the parents’expectation of girl. Thirdly, Familysocio-economic status correlated significantly with the type of school. Students withhigh family socio-economic status are easier to enter good school. Finally, theexpectations of the parents on the child’s academic achievement and type of schoolplay a mediating role in parents’ education level, family collection, students’mathematical literacy and problem solving skills.
