With the new curriculum promoted, the field of education has the consensus to cultivate innovational spirit and practical ability of students. The new curriculum reform involves many aspects, such as curriculum object, curriculum setting, curriculum content, curriculum evaluation and so on. Under the new curriculum background, the geographical classroom of junior high school shows a new and vitalized situation which stresses the cooperation, inquiry and interaction in the process of the teaching. The geographical principle plays an important part in the new curriculum, since it relates the infiltration of the new curriculum idea, the implementation of quality education and the elevation of teaching quality.This thesis mainly investigates the four aspects by the deepening research on geographical teaching principles, which contains updating the geographical teaching principles, perfecting the formulation basis of the geographical teaching principles, abounding geographical teaching principles and analyzing circumstances of the use practice of geographical teaching principles.The first part discusses the background and the significance, the purpose and the content and the ideas and methods of geographical teaching principles by studying the situations and the characteristics of the general principles and the geographical principles at home and abroad, which will establish the foundation of the deepening research on the geographical teaching principles of junior high school under the background of the new curriculum.The second part summarizes the content and the effects of the geographical teaching principles and mainly analyzes the six new courses, three goals, four characteristics of the new geographical curriculum, which affects the direction of developing, the formulation basis, the operating angles and so on.The third part mainly discusses the foundation basis of the geographical teaching principles of junior high school under the new curriculum, which contains modern educational theory, general teaching principles, geographical teaching rules and geographical teaching lessons, such as the theory of constructivism, the intuitive principle, the rule of relationship between the human and the geographical environment and valuing knowledge and despising moral education.The forth part constructs the principles system containing the relationship between the human and the geographical environment, the application of the geographic image, the combination of the fact and the theory of the geography and the geography awareness of multiple side on the base of the updating the basis of theory and practice about the geographical teaching principles. This thesis analyzes the content of the every principle from the aspects such as the geographical knowledge and skills, processes and methods, emotional attitude and values, and elaborates the strategies of application of the geographical teaching principles of junior high school combing examples on the instructional design, content integration, media election, context creation, material selection, selection of teaching methods, the activity of implementation and the teaching evaluation.By the investigation, the fifth part mainly investigates and analyzes the conditions in the operating geographical teaching principles of junior high school, like the function and the problem.The last part summarizes the conclusion, further defining the important functions of the geographical teaching principles, abounding and updating the geographical teaching principles of junior high school, putting forward the specific operational strategies and the directions of future research of the geographical teaching principles.
