An Pragmaticality Study On Career Program Education Of University Students

Nowadays, severe employment tendency for university students turns career education from employment instrution to career program. According to Teaching Requirements on Career Development and Employment Direction Course for University Students, issued by Educational Ministery,2007, it encourages all univerisities and colleges should open this course, as a common education among university general teaching plan, it should run through the whole education process from entrance to graducation since 2008. All universities pay great attention and actively launch various education on career program. In recent two years, the society pays close attention to its pragmaticality. Therefore,the thesis then concentrated for this research.The study finds that a great attention is paid on the career program which enriches its education from contents to methods and gain some achievements as well. However, many students could not attach the importance for this education, which lead to their lack of goals in study, false sel-evaluation, and failure to combine self-development with social needs, helplessness to employment pressure. There are serval reasons for thoes phenomena:the first, false traditional view on education which lead career program education missed from family and high school education, meanwhile, irregular human resources market also contributes to this bad influence. The second, career program education in unversities is neglected for a long time, causing a series problems as lask of education institute, shortage of teachers, poor feasibility on education contents, dullness on methodolgy, etc.. The third, the students generally have no initiative on their career program and desire rushing success. Therefore, the thesis indicates the university should estabilsh a scientific education idea on student career program, strengthen the pragmaticality on its contents, bring the main channel of student career program education into play, combine this education with major teaching and practical teaching, largely open the second class, seize the web education, conduct program consultation, optimize teacher team, enhance overall instructors'quality to improve the pragmaticality on career program education.
