That the professional quality training and the effectiveness of the ideological andpolitical education of higher vocational students is to cultivate the professional quality ofthe students, aiming to improve the effectiveness of the ideological and political education.The professional quality training shape the behavior in the professional activities in vocationalschool. The effectiveness of the ideological and political education involves two aspects: onone hand, educate the students according to their characters, to form internal quality and actwell; on the other hand, with the least human, material and financial resources to acquire themost effect.At present, universities in China are carrying on magnificent and victorious ideologicaland political education, but through deep analysis, whether the launch of multifariousideological and political education curriculum in ordinary colleges had achieved thepragmaticality of education, the result is not optimistic. This problem is particularly highlightin higher vocational college, higher vocational college has its own characteristics of schooling,and their students are also different from the ordinary university students, they are more likelyto be active in thought, and pay more attention to their own professional skill enhancement,also, higher vocational colleges emphasizes the training and practice, but referring to thestudents’ ideological and political education, it’s a "blind area" in this kind of school. For thepresent status that ideological and political education being neglected in this kind of collegesand universities, the Party Central Committee’s and the State Council issued "the opinion onfurther strengthening and improving university students" ideological and political education,it pays more attention in strengthening the college ideological and political education from theview of national policies. Many experts also deeply analysed the problems and causes ofideological and political work in colleges and universities, and proposed feasible advice andsuggestions for the sake of improving present education status. However, throughout thedomestic researches, a lot are generalized and only studied on the general situation of higheruniversities lacking of a meticulous analysis of the characteristics of higher vocational college.The purpose of the study is to figure out the actual status and to analyze the content andmethod of the ideological and political education, and upon these, to enhance the effectiveness of the ideological and political education through the improvement of theprofessional quality.The main research method is literature method and interviewing method. Fullyunderstanding the connotation of the professional quality training and the effectiveness of theideological and political education of higher vocational students, we analyzed its presentsituation. The study reveals that the ideological and political education has not been takenseriously, and the overall quality of vocational students is not high enough and cannot satisfythe business requirement. In additon, on content it lacks of times and pertinence, the mentalhealty education is often ignored and the theory and practice is often derailed. The cause tothese problems are as follows: firstly, the organizational mechanism of ideological andpolitical work in higher vocational school is imperfect, the ideological and political educationhas not been taken seriously; secondly, the number of educational work team is in shortage,and the quality is not high enough; thirdly, any of the market economy system, virtualnetwork world or the social community environment can influence the pragmaticality ofideological and political work.For the above reasons, to improve the comprehensive quality of higher vocationalstudents, we need to strengthen the professional quality training, and to improve theideological and political education, either should be neglected. First, we need to update thetraining content, such as moral consciousness, professional knowledge, social practice,innovation, competition teamwork, and so on. Second, innovating the specific approach of thetraining. The following supporting measures are proposed to improve ideological and politicaleducation. First of all, making it clearly that the ideological and political education of highervocational college is very important; Second, creating fine environment for the ideologicaland political education work, which including the social environment, the family environment,and the campus adjacency environment; Again, consummate the building of the ideologicaland political education in higher vocational colleges, both teacher-oriented andstudent-oriented education patterns should be improved; Finally, that the content and methodsof ideological and political education in higher vocational colleges should be innovated,adapting to the development of the era, advancing with the era, and better improving the efficiency.
