Postgraduate education is an important part of China's higher education, which is responsible for the development of science and technology and modernization. So it arouses always national attention and concern. Because it started later in China, compared with the developed countries, especially the USA, we have to learn advanced experience to perfect our country's postgraduate training mode.Guided by the historical, literature, comparative and case research methods.In this thesis chooses graduate education model of Sino-US as case study,historical research method is used to gave a briefly analyse the history of development of graduate student education model of Sino-US . the literature method is adopted the purpose of summarizing literature on graduate student education model of Sino-US ,using predecessor's main research achievement, emphasis and methods for reference. From the perspective of graduate student education model of Sino-US by comparative research method, was found by comparing the problem, identify shortcomings, to deepen understanding of the master's graduate education, while we can learn the successful experiences and failures lessons from U.S. Graduate EducationThe thesis is composed of seven parts. the first chapter is the introduction, which contains the background, meaning of the question , related concepts to define , train of thought and research methods; The second chapter of the Sino-American Master of the historical process of graduate training model for clues, in various stages of development from start to explore the evolution of Master's training mode process; The third chapter is the way from the cultivation phase, such as training objectives ,enrollment, curriculum teaching, scientific research, cultivation term and so forth, by doing so, to summarized, analysis and comparison of their characteristics on Sino-US Master mode; The fourth chapter is on Sino-US Master Curriculum and Instruction to conduct a systematic comparison of; The fifth chapter is the case analysis of pedagogy graduate training mode between China and USA. The sixth chapter is puts forward the improvement of the postgraduate training mode on the basis of experiences in USA and China's reality; Finally, conclusion.
