Research On Application Of Mobile Agents For Network Management

This dissertation firstly summarized the development of computer network and technology of network management, and introduced foundational theories and new technology of network management. Secondly it introduced the Agent theories, including the origins, development, and application of Agent research . It analyzed the mobile Agent conception and advantages and disadvantages . It introduced the current research and application of mobile Agent. It especially discussed the structure and limitation of SNMP based traditional network manage system, studied the potential uses of mobile Agents in Network Management . We put forward an infrastructure of network management utilizing mobile Agent, and explained its principle and advantage, and introduced the Agent classification and function. We discussed the system realization .We designed and realized an open mobile Agent environment. We realized the communication interface between mobile Agent and SNMP protocol ,and established an actual example, and studied the security, intelligence, correspondence mechanism on the applications of mobile Agent .
