The culture of Jieyang has a long history. The unique cultural and historicalconditions form Jieyang’s unique culture characteristics. Jieyang temples’ lots areimportant memory text of Jieyang’s history and culture. They have a long history and highartistic value. Current study of lots of domestic and foreign scholars focus more on theanthropology, sociology, folklore and philology, but lack of in-depth exploration of itsmeaning from the perspective of linguistics. Through field survey, this thesis textanalyzes206Lots from331temples within Jieyang City, and mainly states from thefollowing six aspects: First, analyze the historical background of the formation of theJieyang’s Lots text; Second, classification of the Jieyang region’s Lots; Third, therhetorical features of Jieyang region’s lots; Fourth, The cognitive linguistics analysis ofJieyang region’s Lots; Fifth, analyze on the cultural connotations of Jieyang region’s lots.Sixth, Study on the public acceptance of Jieyang region’s lots. This paper attempts todeeply interpret from the above six aspects, focuses on analyzing the language value ofJieyang region’s Lots, and reveals the nature of their word games. From the philologicalpoint of view, the appendix records the lots directory sorted from pictures and texts ofJieyang region’s lots that have been collected. It can provide reference for other scholarsengaged in research in this area.
