Mencius pay emphasize on the "ruler (Jun) and subject (Chen) should be just toeach other", king’s road and benevolent virtue, showed his ethical and politicaltendency, and his thought characteristic of ruling of virtue, ruling of men. ThereforeMencius stressed the importance that the ruler and his subject in the politic, and at thesame time define Jun and Chen mutual obligation and duty in the moral and politicalinstitution. Breaking the previous guarded feudal hierarchy which emphasis onone-way, at least imbalance of responsibility and obligation. Mencius stressed thecoordination of "position" and "moral". in whose position have correspondingrequirement both for Jun and Chen. Minister get emperor’s attention by his own"virtue" and "ability",emperor should "respect the noble people" and "use the talent",make human-heartedness political execution. If the emperor "lost his virtue"("be pridewith his minister""to abuse his people") made a great fault ("enough to lose thecountry")and "minister advice repeat but never listen", will lose his position. Theemperor should replace by the "minister of his relatives", and even lead to change thedynasty revolution. Thus, Mencius consider the relative responsibilities andobligations between the ruler and the subject, king and people, officials and thepeople as the most important criteria. Because of Mencius stressed on the idealpersonality of the " sageliness within and kingliness without ",require to exchange theinner Self-cultivation of the individual become externalization of social and politicalreality. Thus, the "relative relation of Jun and Chen "of Mencius is finallyimplemented in the monarch and the subject to coordinate with each other, thereforeto run the country well and give the people peace and security. Jun and Chen’sbonding point is based on the problems of the people’s livelihood. Jun "chose thevirtuous and use talent people" in order to management people better, The ministercome into the official, hope to "get the attention of the ruler", in order to get a chanceto "give the interests to the majority of people ",make his political aspiration of "makepeople pacific" become reality. Thus, the "relative relation of Jun and Chen "ofMencius is an important premise for his Kingly way or wang government and hisheartedness government, That has the extremely important status in his politicalphilosophy.
