The20th century is a new era to the European music, because therewere many new musical composing techniques and musical elementscreated then, for example Impressionism, the Microtone Music and so on.They abandoned some musical elements in the traditional music such asmode, harmony, rhythm and so on, and created audaciously. However,Bartók explored on his endless and rocky music way with his ownmethods. With his strong sense of national pride and patriotism, hefocused on the folk music, widely absorbed many musics from manyplaces, endowed them some new lives through his own composing, andsuccessfully combined the modern music, the classic music and the folkmusic.Béla Bartók composed the Mikrokosmos from1926to1939, whichincludes153piano repertoires. The Six Bulgarian Dances is the last onesin the end of Mikrokosmos. Not only is it very prominent in its execution, but also very special in its harmony, mode, polyphony, rhythm and so on.It is very meaning for us to learn to compose some modern music.
