A Study On The Cultural Dissemination Of Yunnan Minority Nationalities In Cartoon

In the process of China’s animation, there are numerous works reflecting theauthors’ affection and enthusiasm on Yunnan minority culture meanwhile theydisseminate the excellent culture. Because of the invading of foreign animationindustry, however, domestic animations had to focus on technical methods andpresentation of Centre-China culture to jostle for the animation market and neglectedthe expression of the marginal Yunnan minority culture. In recent years, with theeconomic and technical development in minority areas more and more animationenterprises are attracted by Yunnan minority culture and committed themselves tospread it. These enterprises pay a lot of attention not only to the minority culturesubjects, but also to those handicraft making skills which are considered as useful tovary the animated approach. Although such kind of animations has not form a scaleyet, it is a new step forward in the way of spreading Yunnan minority culture indomestic animations.The thesis, via marshaling the documents about the relationship betweenanimation and Yunnan minority culture, mainly researches the dissemination ofYunnan minority culture in domestic animations by using communication theory. Itconsists of the following parts:Part one is the literature review. Through summarizing the elements of culture,art and aesthetics in animations, the part finds the relationship between animation andYunnan minority culture and puts forward that Yunnan minority culture can bedisseminated on a large scale by animations.In part two, the thesis first identifies several key items and the research object.Then it will survey the development process of animations involving Yunnan minorityculture and summary the features of presenting Yunnan minority culture in variousstages. Also this part will analyze the culture of language, dress, building andhandicraft of Yunnan minority in animations.Part three will explain the necessity, immediacy and significance of the spread of Yunnan minority culture in animations by using communication effect theory. Afteranalyzing the strategy of culture transmission in animations among Europe, Americaand Japan, the thesis will discuss the problems and deviation of Yunnan minorityculture spread strategies in domestic animations.On the basis of the former parts, the forth part will discuss the advantages andlimitations of domestic animations in spreading Yunnan minority culture. At the sametime, the author will further think the development direction of domestic animationsin spreading Yunnan minority culture and try to propose some suggestions in order toinspire the development of domestic animations and the spread of minority cultures indomestic animation.
