Animation is a special kind of art form and cultural patterns. In this new era of rapidscientific and technological development, the animation has swept out our screen. The reasonwhy the use of animation is so broad, mainly because the animation has infiniteexpressiveness, people in the world of animation can be fantasy Heavenly Star. In addition,the development of animation industry not only will bring huge economic wealth, but also caninfluence character by environment spread their ideological and cultural awareness. Therefore,the animation has not only to be a kind of performance art, but also to become a culturalindustry and cultural phenomenon that is closely linked with people’s lives, so all countriesattach great importance to the development of the animation industry.Chinese traditional culture is broad and profound. Because of regional culture,the artform has shown a variety of styles, which has had a profound impact on the development ofChinese animation. Each period in the history of the development of Chinese animation,animation workers are actively exploring the direction and path of the development ofChinese animation."Chinese School" is an important representative, who explores thedevelopment path of the Chinese animation, the animation of its creation has unique orientalnational feature, and attracted worldwide attention and praise. This shows that the Chineseanimation has its own law of development, but also has a strong strength. But Chinesecontemporary animation has suffered a series of problems in the development process, such asblind imitation of Western outstanding animation; Loss of native cultural characteristics ofcreation. These problems make Chinese animation lost power and the source of thedevelopment with failure result in the path. In resent years, whether abandoning tradition orstill insisting on reference classic traditional culture and keeping on the road move ideasnationalization linger. This makes the development of Chinese animation into the awkwardtime, animation overall level falling behind the world advanced level. The main reason whythe United States and Japanese animation work was loved by the people is that they work withrich cultural connotation and the humanities spirit. Chinese traditional culture and art forms,such as painting, drama, sculpture, music, clothing, architecture, and even paper cutting, NewYear paintings, shadow puppets, puppetry and other forms of folk art, provide inexhaustibleand inexhaustible reference materials for the Chinese animations. The author thinks that inorder to extend the former glory of the Chinese animation, we must use the Chinesetraditional culture as the support, dig the charm of China’s traditional culture and art, andlearn from the world’s outstanding animation production skills and techniques. Therefore,based on the exploration of reabsorbing the performance characteristics of contemporaryoutstanding animation, and taking attention to the use of traditional Chinese culture and art,this paper puts forward the direction of development of contemporary animation in Chinesetraditional culture and the arts.This article is divided into four parts: The first part is an overview of the development ofChinese contemporary Chinese animation, this part contains three aspects, the first isanimation connotation; the second is to explore the course of development of Chinesecontemporary animation; the third is that contemporary Chinese animation in the developinglost direction. The second part focuses on the impact of Chinese traditional culture and art of contemporary animation, this section is mainly from the five aspects of traditional Chineseopera arts, graphic arts, folk arts, music, arts and humanities and arts to explore. The third partis to learn contemporary animation work experience in the use of traditional Chinese cultureand arts, this section introduces two excellent animations--"Mulan" and “Qin Moon", tostudy how they are specific to the use of traditional Chinese culture and the arts. In the fourthpart, the author puts forward the direction of development of contemporary animation inChinese traditional culture and the arts: Innovate in the inheritance; Use the animationlanguage to reflect the national cultural connotation; Extended performance horizons; Keepup with the pace of the times; Fuse the traditional art and advanced technology and so on.Only by this way, Chinese animation can keep Chinese characteristics and be understood bythe world. And the ethnic resources truly turn into the wealth of the world. The Chineseanimation is also possible to once again stand in the forest of the World Animation.
