Zen photography is a completely new concept and subject for most of people.Zen has been incorporated in art for a long time and is now gradually coming intophotography. Accordingly, the so called Zen photographs have appeared. However, noone in China or abroad proposes the concept of Zen photography. Even to this day,there is generally a gap in the literature of Zen photography.Having learned the knowledge relevant to Zen and Zen poems, Zen paintingsand Zen calligraphy, referenced the practice, experience and literature of integratingZen and art and conducted research on the theory and practice of Zen photographycombining Zen and photography, I try to discuss in this article the concept of Zenphotography and Zen photograph and how to take photos with Zen thought. I alsowant to discuss the prospect of Zen photography and in-depth study of the beauty ofartistic conception for Zen photography.In essence, Zen photography intends to use Zen thoughts to capture Buddhistsubtleties and thus works out photographs with Zen implication. Zen photographyseeks the higher perspective of the beauty of artistic conception in the way of notsimply blending feeling and natural setting but addressing the combination of objectand oneself and the absence of the two. The artistic conception beauty of Zenphotography not only has the beauty of an artistic work but also Zen conceptionbeauty of Dhyana.
