Starting with current situation of college English class, aiming atsolving practical problems in college English teaching, being based onbasic pedagogy theories of constructivism, cooperative learning,behaviorism and communicative approach etc, referring to wide range ofpapers relevant to multi-dimensional interaction teaching mode(MITM),the researcher had a further study and effective classification to MITM,especially MITM of college English teaching in our country.Furthermore, this study blazed a trail among large amount ofmicrocosmic and mesocosmic MITM, combined their advantages,summarized a new college English teaching mode---multi-dimensionalinteraction teaching mode in college English teaching(MITMCET) whichbears both theoretical foundation and practical meaning.Here multi-dimension is three dimension---interaction of multifactors in class, interaction of studying time in and out of English class,interaction of students’ major knowledge(pre-school education) andEnglish knowledge. By doing these, teacher,students, teaching content,teaching surroundings and teaching equipments etc can make effectiveinteraction and positive cycle. Interaction and blending of these factorsare core feature of the mode.Using methods of test and questionnaire, the researcher conducted the pre-and post-test to both the experimental class and control class. Allthe statistics were analyzed. Finally the following conclusion can bemade---MITMCET can motivate students’ interest and initiative ofEnglish learning obviously,;help students increase English studying time;students’ post-test marks in experimental class are clearly higher than thatof control class;with influence of MITMCET, students’ comprehensivelanguage proficiency improved.
