As we all know that teaching materials play the most significant role in the teaching process, choosing the proper textbook is very important to teaching practice. After a one-year teaching practice in Dhaka Bangladesh, the author noticed some serious problems among the teachers and students on using Chinese teaching textbooks, and researched the current situation of the Chinese teaching textbooks in Dhaka, especially how the books had been used.In this research, the using problems of Chinese teaching textbooks have been well discussed, which including the lack of category and supports of the teaching materials, the outmoded content, especially in the Chinese culture, the immaturity of localized textbooks, the terrible quality of the copied textbooks, the absence of the teachers’right on selecting the textbook, and the unreasonable teaching plan which can not match the textbook, etc. In this article, according to the deliberate analysis of the current situation, some matures and advices had been proposed. Firstly, the select range of the textbooks should be extended and some new teaching materials should be brought in. Secondly, the compiling of localized textbooks should be encouraged. Thirdly, the productivities of the publishing should be enhanced, both the quantity and the quality. Last but not the least, the communication between teachers and students should be strengthened, which could make the problems easier to overcome. At last, some feasibility analysis focused on compiling the localized Chinese-teaching textbooks had been discussed in this article, also some comparisons in current localized textbooks were hoped to be helpful to the further research. All the details in this article were first-hand data, which can be the reference for the further research. This article, based on a series of surveys and analysis of the using situation of Chinese teaching materials in Bangladesh, could be very significant to improving the compiling of their Chinese teaching textbooks and nationalized textbooks both theoretically and realistically.
