At present, overseas Chinese teaching textbooks are not fully adapt to the aboard Chinese teaching. In order to improve the quality of overseas Chinese teaching textbooks further, I research on the "Chinese Paradise" for American pupils written by Chinese scholars and "Junior growing Chinese" for the South Korean pupils written by R.O.K scholars. The paper mainly discuss the following six aspects:writing principles, structure, vocabulary, grammar, exercises and culture between "Chinese Paradise" and "Junior growing Chinese". Based on the comparative research,we get the results of advantages and disadvantages of two Chinese teaching textbooks to improve the Chinese teaching textbooks for pupils.There five chapters in the paper,as follows:The first chapter mainly introduces the meaning of the paper,the research objects,the research method and the present situation of the research on overseas Chinese textbooks for pupils.The second chapter mainly compares the writing principles and structures between the two sets of the Chinese textbooks.With regard to the theoretical basis of compiling,we mainly analysis the interesting principle,targeted principle,scientific principle and practical principle of two sets of textbooks;With regard to the textbook style,we compare the arrangement of the key teaching sections and ancillary materials between the two sets of the textbooksThe third chapter regards to the main content of the teaching materials.,we research on the vacabulary,grammar,exercises,culture of the textbooks from several aspects,such as the number,the difficulty,the specific content and the showing form.Finally,we get the results of the advantages and disadvantages of two Chinese teaching textbooks, the features of the overseas Chinese materials and the mistakes of the two sets of the textbooks.The fourth chapter introduces how to write a great Chinese textbooks. According to the teaching experiences in the Korean primary schools, some advises about the overall design, the main content and the country of Chinese teaching materials have been put forward.The fifth chapter mainly concludes the results and outline of the paper.
