Analysis Of The Character Design Of Foreign Language Teaching Materials

The research on Chinese textbooks is an essential part of that on teaching Chinese to the speakers of other languages. The paper researches on "character designing in the Chinese textbooks", which belongs to "research on the text writing in Chinese textbooks" in the "basic research on the Chinese textbooks writing".The writer conducts a research on the character designing of the textbooks for elementary Chinese by using literature and statistics (quantity research methods), and a questionnaire survey on teachers and students, to clarify the meaning and current situation of character designing.Based on this, the writer has a deeper interview on the writers of the textbooks by using quality research methods.then he puts forward some new views on the principle of character designing in textbook, discusses the character designing in the five textbooks, and hopefully the research would benefits the textbooks writing, teaching and research in this field, and arouse more attention on character designing in textbooks writing.
