On The Writing Of "Loneliness" In Peng Xuejun 's Children Novels

In the developing process of children’s literature, along with the gradual establishment and development of the views on children, here follows deep concern for each individual child in children’s literature. It is cruel and difficult to eliminate loneliness, which is a feeling of reality and psychology in adults’world but also in the children’s inner world. Affected by writers’loneliness, sense of loneliness leads to the "turn-inward" consciousness on writer’s creation and causes the writing of loneliness in Peng Xuejun’s fiction. The direction of Peng Xuejun’s fiction is to illuminate loneliness in children’s deep psychology and broaden the narrow children’s psychology. Peng Xuejun’s fiction presents her unique charm in the development of children’s literature, not only has the sorrow and beauty, but also insists to uphold children’s natural perception of loneliness and calls for attentions outside.This paper consists of four chapters. Chapter one focuses on Peng Xuejun’s sense of loneliness; analyzes the contributing factors of children’s sense of loneliness; then combined to the process of her creation, that explores the statement and changes of children’s sense of loneliness in her writings.Chapter two explores the presentation of themes and subjects in her writings, combining text to the sense of children’s loneliness, explores the significance of her writings from three angles:broken childhood experience, lost country scenes and softened death. Her writings have a great significance on current views of people on children.Chapter three discusses the influence of Peng Xuejun’s awareness of children’s loneliness on ways of artistic expression, including the use of narrative perspective, the characterization of the images and the selection of narrative style. Peng Xuejun’s great performance of lonely conscious is totally unique in the field of children’s literature.Chapter four analyzes the importance and values of Peng Xuejun’s writings of loneliness by comparing with other writers on techniques and interpreting the pioneer status of Peng Xuejun’s writings, which prose the prosaic tendency of writing in adults’literature into children’s literature.
