Zhejiang chao was the office organ of Zhejiang government Province Anti Japanese War period. It was advocated by Huang Shaohong who came to Zhejiang at the second time as the president. The magazine which was founded on February24,1938and signed on April20,1941caused great repercussions in the Zhejiang cultural circles and was praised by Wang Haisu as "the great flagman".Japanese army began to invade Zhejiang on November5,1937. The people of Zhejiang and the whole nation didn’t get rid of the Japanese invasion and bondage until the end of the victory of the Anti Japanese War. In order to strength the confidence of Zhejiang people and stimulate their enthusiasm of resistance, Zhejiang chao tried its best to wake up the awareness of Chinese. The magazine focused on the conditions and methods of populace mobilization and elaborated the effect of the mobilization of the masses to guide people who were engaged in the public mobilization. At the same time, as a popular reading material among the readers, the magazine corrected the wrong thought, introduced the domestic progress situation and Japan’s retrogression situation. What’s more, it was also related to the policy change in the transitional period of Japan, which can allow readers to promptly understand the latest trends and form a correct belief of Anti Japanese.In addition, in order to make the populace mobilization to achieve good results, Huang shaohong advocated the establishment of two important organizations which were the political work team and the general assembly. For the two organizations, Zhejiang chao discussed their effects, existing problems and improvement measures in detail. This discussion was necessary which could make people understand the basic situation of the organization. Making people cooperate and join the organizations actively, and the populace mobilization could achieve good results finally.
