The Construction Of Chef 's Competency Model

This study selects the cooks of XY catering limited company as the subjects, and aims to build the cooks’ work task model and competency model.First through the behavioral event interview, this study obtains cooks’ the original data in the work, and then it is concluded that the cooks’ work task breakdown, thus build a cook work task model. Then issued large sample distribution of Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire to get the different personality factors between high performance person and the ordinary performance person, at the same time, on the basis of the cooks’ work task breakdown and according to the competency dictionary, get the cooks’ competence characteristics first draft check list. After first draft form, using the method of expert opinion, get the cooks’ competence characteristics check list finalized; Finally, release a large number of finalized competency check lists, Using structural equation model, construct the cooks’ competency model preliminary, it concluded each of the competencies of its subordinate to the competent group characteristics and the relationship between the competence characteristics.
