Research On Chinese Traditional Pattern And Modern Design

In recent years, traditional designs have been applied to designing modern floor plan. As a Chinese designer, carrying on the traditional culture becomes more and more important. Just as a famous saying goes:Something including local feature is easy to spread to the outside world, he shout use his national culture to rich the world.and try to influence the world with a pleasant way. of course, We should also learn some foreign advanced things and pay attention to the learning methods, meanwhile, we should highlight the importance of our own culture. In all, we should design our work that people can generally accept and understand by using the Chinese unique feelings and perspective.The Chinese traditional patterns are valuable heritage formed in5000years. It is the comprehensive embodiment of the Chinese’s unique cultural values and aesthetic views. It experienced the change of time, thus gradually evolved, merged and absorbed the cultural characteristic of each era. As a result, the unique Chinese cultural characteristic, which is our precious cultural legacy, is formed and comes down now. The graphic design in China is very short, just a few decades. Moreover, the nationalization of graphic design has become increasingly prominent. How to combine it with the traditional patterns becomes our first concern. We should lead the Chinese design to the road of nationalization, and try our best not to imitate the West. Consequently, we can really have the design works with Chinese characteristics from the spiritual aspect. In this paper, the author begins with the project of "24solar terms themes design", then combines with excellent case studies and finally converts to his own work. The author did much thinking and research in terms of choosing the topic, its content, structure as well as the method of its combination. Therefore, the project can be finished successfully.
