A Study On The Evolution Of The Words Of "Resentment" In Ancient Contract Documents

All contract document research, mainly focuses on the history, law, economics, and philology, little linguistics research. Therefore, the author selects a group of words that express the meaning of pulling back to diachronic evolution study in the contract document that can be collected in the present. Also, the author hopes to provide certain reference for contract document reading and research.In this paper, the research scope includes the pre-Qin to the Ming and Qing dynasties contract document all over the country. Due to long time, the quantity and quality of the contract document preserved each time and each region are uneven. Overall, the quantity in the Ming and Qing dynasties is most and the pre-Qin period is least, the south is more than the north. Based on the materials with such characteristics, this article selects high frequency words fanhui as the research object. First, examples are given to explain the meaning of each word, and then study from two angles of synchronic and diachronic, respectively explore the usage and evolution of the words. Synchronic, every word is compared the contract documents with the use of traditional literature, and explore the vocabulary differences in meaning, grammatical function. Diachronic, the usage of every word in each time contract document is presented to analyze the historical evolution of words.The analysis of the meaning mainly uses the traditional exegesis method, such as according to the context, parallelism of induction and so on. Explaining the meaning mainly use the method of static description. Summarizing the words evolution adopts the method of longitudinal diachronic comparison. Studying the regional distribution adopts the method of statistics list.The innovation of this article is mainly to systematically organize the fanhui words in contract document, to some extent making up for the loopholes in current research.In addition, the preliminary discussion on the evolution of the fanhui words provides some information for the research on the evolution history of Chinese vocabulary.
