Korea belongs to the Chinese characters cultural circle countries, which is the same as China. China and Korea remained a long time relationship. Korea haven’t had their own characters and have been using Chinese characters before they created their own writing system "Hunminjeongum". But some characters that are no longer used in modern Chinese are well preserved in Korean now. This is because that those Chinese characters were spreaded to Korea along with the Chinese culture. According to a statistics there are more than60%Chinese characters remained in modern Korean,While at the same time in China, as the development of the society and economy, new Words kept emerging so that the traditional meanings of some Chinese words have been changed, even disappeared. On the other hand, those old meanings and old phonologies were well preserved in Korean. In this article, we will classify and research those words and try to figure out their origin and compare their Chinese old meanings with modern Korean meanings in order to help Chinese Korean-learners get better understanding of those old Chinese words which have already disappeared in China.
