Throughquantitative collection and analysis of these active in modern Chinese vocabulary atthe time, inducteing and sunmmarise the characteristics of modern Chinesevocabulary and word formation rules.This dissertation is divided into four parts to complete:The first chapter is prologue.Mainly introduces the detailed family background andZhou’s three important notes, combing the Guixin Zashi the spread of versions,,introducing its research value, significance and method.The second chapter is characteristic words part. This chapter focuses on analysisof Guixin Zashi’s name nouns words,representing of the social life at that time.Andstarting from the angle of words meaning, This part regards Guixin Zashi’s new-wordsand new-meanings as the characteristic words to research.The third part is the second, three,four, five chapter,it is the main content. Thispart according to the lexical structure divides into some different chapters,which aremonosyllabic words, disyllabic words, idioms and spoken words,so on. Carefully andsystematically analyzed, to explain the modern Chinese vocabulary’s word formationand characteristics. The study of disyllabic words in modern Chinese, aer mainly fromthe parallel disyllabic words.comparative study about these words’ morpheme canbe get the law of the word’s composition;backing and exploiting thewords,connecting the ancient Chinese, modern Chinese and modern Chinese’sdevelopping history. Based on the main part of the results, the important position inthe history of the development of Chinese Modern Chinese vocabulary highlights.The last part is the sixth chapter of this thesis. The sixth chapter is based on thefore five chapters’ study, this chapter mainly from the perspective of the meaning system of macro analysis,specifically introducing the short time adverb, highfrequency time adverb,the meaning of error word, and starting from the coremeaning to compare the words’ slightly different,which are same or similar. Fromthe original word meaning,finding the word’s develop system.Through the above research, trying to clear modern Chinese vocabulary formGuixin Zashi.And based on the reaction in quality, quantity, trying to analyse itscharacteristics and formation rules. This is the core value of the study.
