Redraw Chinese Culture

From the new century onwards, picture‐books created by authors of mainland China has surged. Because of the high proportion of foreign content picture‐books in China’s market, authors and parents worry about the lack of national‐content in picture‐books. Borrowing from ancient mythology,folktales and ancient Chinese arts, Authors have created a bunch of picture‐books with traditional contents.After analyzing the originarts and children’s perspective of Chinese traditional‐content picture‐books, I recognize the following problems: theme before storylack of children’s perspective and little respect for the nature of picture‐books. As such, authors need to think about how to combine nationality and children’s perspective within the picture‐books.
