The Research Of Chinese Original Children’s Picture Books In The New Century:Perspectives On Intersub Jectivity And The Other

Since the new century, the development of children’s picture book is growing rapidly, but the creation idea of original children’s picture books have not yet been effectively discussed.This thesis try to discuss the creation idea of original children’s picture books, but not want to construct an ideal model of children subject or the outlook on children.It pays more attention to find and explain the structure and operation mechanism of intersubjectivity and the Other. So in this thesis,psychoanalysis especially Lacan’s theory is the most frequently used method.And the meaning of intersubjectivity and the Other in this thesis is also based on Lacan’s theory that not only means the communicative structure of two subjects,it more means a pre-existence of the structural relation between subjects.This pre-existence is outside of the subject,but in the same time it also govern the subjects and their communicative structure.This thesis will try to discuss how the pre-existence govern the communicative structure between children and children,or between children and adult in the chinese original children’s picture books.For the convenient of research,the textual analysis is based on Feng Zikai Chinese Children’s Picture Book Award.The first part of this thesis mainly sort out the problems of intersubjectivity in the chines Original children’s books in the21th centry from four ways:the model of family ethic and social ethic in the new period, the intersubjectivity in an adult-child interaction,how adult imagine and require children’s autogosis,the main difference of picture book creative subjects on both sides of the strait.From A New Year’s Reunion that the winner of1st Feng Zikai Award,we can find that repair and consolidate the traditional family ethics and social ethics is still the most important ideology,but in order to answer the challenge in the new situation, the creators also have to add some new requirements.Under the influence of this patriarchal mainstream ideology,children are often imagined as a relatively passive figure and must to submissive adult;even if adults can friendly to children,their relationship was still estrangement,that is adult’s nostalgia rather than close relationship;parts of chinese picture books seem to give children some capacities that they can surpass the adult,but when they face to the authority of adults.they can choose only yield;some books belive that adult society is very dangerous.so children must protect themselves,but in the same time they are also requested to love that dangerous society;only little books give children a right to freedom of expression and deconstruct the adult,but this right still have some sort of constraint.Because adult from ignorance of child,when they imagine and require children’s autogosis,they are full of ignorance, confusion, empty and not confident.The second part of this thesis use some method about logical time and anticipated certainty,Oedipus Complex and "patriarchal" order,pleasure principle and the dialectic of desire which be borrowing from Lacan’s theory to explain the structure and operation mechanism of intersubjectivity in the chinese original children’s picture books. This thesis advocate that picture books can provide lots of signifier and object a and the performability of social identity to children,we need to give them more stories about there diffcults when they enter into one of the logical times that individual become subject.At the same time, standing in the psychoanalysis standpoint, this thesis argues that the formation of human subjectivity is also a process of castration, the mother’s "unconditional love" will engulf the individual subjectivity, and the father’s love castrated individual pursuit of mother’s love by the ban, and let individual walk on the road of subjectification.Because the subject is defective fundamentally, so the subject’s desire can never be touched and satisfy.This drive of desire is the death drive.In order to limit this secret death drive,emerge many kinds of the ban.But in the process of defending ban, action of defending is also became an desire, even emerge one more desire of breaking the ban.In the chinese original children’s picture books, this model of desire is the most common type.Only a very few text, like Very Very Slowly Snail can brave to pursue and enjoy the desire,and in the same time try not to be confined by the desire.
