Called and urged by the reality of his era, Marx put forward the theory of laboralienation, which conforms to the law of historical development. The theory of laboralienation marking Marx stepping into new world outlook is inevitable in the processof Marx’s thought development. Therefore, it makes good sense to research the theoryof labor alienation for clearly grasping the early development of Marxist philosophy, studying the formation, development and nature of the historical materialism.Basing on critically absorbing the historical outstanding culture civilizations, Marxmade the concept of labor alienation historically improved. Hegel’s Labor dialecticsthought, Feuerbach’s humanism species thought and the realistic person idea are thedirect philosophy source of the theory of labor alienation. Thelabor value theory ofClassical political economy and Hess’ Economic alienation view provides importanteconomic resources for Marx’s theory of labor alienation. With the productive labor as core content and humanism as the dominant logicoperation, Marx constructed the theory of labor alienation and criticized the alienatedlabor in Capitalist Society morally and historically in value. However, there is alsoanother social economic reality logical clue deeply hidden in Marx’s theory of laboralienation. It is because of dominant humanism logic clue Marx didn’t fundamentallyget rid of historical idealism. What’s more, it is because of the two different kinds oflogic clues Marx gradually abandoned the humanism logic construction in his latertheory creation. With the concept of labor alienation, Marx revealed the nature ofprivate property, which reveals the temporality of private property, and from theperspective of division of labor, Marx deeply explored the source of alienated labor, which helps to explore the origin of the private ownership according to history. Basedon this, Marx discusses that the Communism is the basic way to abandon thealienation as well as private ownership. Only by Communism, can we achieve theoverall development of man.The theory of labor alienation, which not only contains Marx’s avocation tohuman subject creation ability, but also embodies Marx’s value orientation that soughtroads for the proletarian revolution, is the powerful weapon for Marx to criticizecapitalist society in his early time. Yet as the early theory, the alienated labor theory isunable to transcend history, which makes it limited. Therefore, there is a certaindistance away from Marx’s historical materialism. However, as a necessary part ofdevelopmental history of Marxist thought, the theory of labor alienation laid anecessary theoretical basis for Marx’s Historical materialism. Therefore, the theory oflabor alienation is a transitional theory between idealism and historical materialism.
