Weifang dialect belongs to eastern Weifang section of Jiaoliao Mandarin inShandong dialect. The Zhi Zhuang Zhang initial consonants are divided into typejia(甲) and type yi(乙) taking the ancient deng-hu(等呼) as a condition. However, according to our survey, not all dialects in the areas are divided into twotypes The Zhi Zhuang Zhang initial consonants in areas near the Weicheng which wecalled the suburban areas, are mixed and read as t? t???.The areas on behalf ofLinqu which we called outer suburbs are divided into two types. The one type isZhisan-Zhang(知三章), reading as????.The other is Zhi er-Zhuang(知二庄),reading as t? t???.The Zhi Zhuang Zhang initial consonants of north area ofShouguang are divided into two types too, but the conditions are different from thatin Linqu type. In the paper, we give the detailed explanation for the distribution ofZhi(止)Xie(蟹)Tong(通)groups entering tone characters and the reason of theexception words. The second affricates was recorded as t?? t????? in Weicheng areaaccording to the book the Dialects of Shandong province which was writed in the1980s.In our dialect survey, we found that the Zhi Zhuang Zhang initial consonantsin Weicheng area had mixed into one type which read as t? t??? instead of reading ast?? t?????.This paper discusses the development and evolution of t?? t?????through the historical comparison method. Finally,we come to the conclusion that t??group is the transitory stage which? group evolve into t? group. There are relationship of division and mixedness between the initialconsonants Zhi Zhuang Zhang and those of Jing-Jian initial groups(精见两组)inZhucheng and the north of Shouguang. In the paper, we describe the relationship indetail and probe the causes. There are29characters,like zé“泽”,from Zhi ZhuangZhang reading as??? s which is different from Weifang dialect and the paperdescribes it in detail. In the last, we make comparison between the Zhi Zhuang Zhangand Zhongyuan Yinyun(《中原音韵》) and come to the conclusion that their way of classification of them is similar.
