According to the life development control theory, investigate the tendency of college students use control strategy and the relationship between mental health. This study used questionnaires to416college students in Nanjing, using the "CSS Control Strategies Scales" and "GHQ-20General Health Scales" for evaluation and analysis of relevant data through two sub-studies to test the hypothesis, get the following conclusions:1. In the four control strategies, our college students tend to use the most selective primary control strategy, followed by selective secondary control strategies and compensatory primary control strategies, and the most frequently used is not compensatory secondary control strategy.2. The tendency to use control strategies, College students significantly affected by gender, whether the impact of child, family types, and professional and other demographic variables, significant difference; while in the mental health, there are clear sex, whether the only child and family categories differences.3. Selective primary control, selective secondary control and Self-affirmation are definitely there is a significant positive correlation, and significant negative correlation with depression and anxiety; whereas compensatory primary control and depression there was a significant negative correlation, compensatory secondary control the anxiety there is a significant positive correlation.Finally, according to the findings, and previous research, put forward reasonable and available proposals.
