Research Objects and SignificanceOur country is in the high-speed development of the economic and social transformation period,the pace of people's life is obviously speeding up,and the pressure of competition is increasing,the psychological behavior problems of college students and their social problems have become increasingly prominent,and have aroused wide attention from all walks of life.A large number of studies have also shown that over the past ten years,the detection rate of various mental and psychological disorders of college students has been on the rise,and the problem of mental disorders among college students has also been increasing.In 2016,The State Planning Commission issued "on the strengthening of the mental health service guidance" clearly pointed out that the mental health of college students is a major public health and social problems affecting economic and social development,colleges and universities should actively carry out the creation of mental health education,mental health education activities.Among them,the premise of mental health education is to understand the mental health status of College students.For a long time,although there are many empirical studies on the mental health of college students,most of them use the index of psychopathology to measure their mental health.However,individuals who have no psychopathological symptoms do not guarantee their psychological well-being.A double factors model of mental health emphasizes the mental health status of the individual psychological health should be from positive and negative two aspects to assessment,we should pay attention to in the elimination of psychological diseases and strengthen the cultivation of positive force in the psychological health education.Based on the double factor model to study the mental health of college students,it is beneficial to understand the mental health status of college students and to intervene the mental health of College students.Therefore,in this study,college students as the research object,using the method of questionnaire survey.First,Revising the Flourishing scale and use it to evaluate positive mental health status of college students.Secondly,the applicability of the model validation psychological double factors in college students in China.Research MethodsQuestionnaire survey was adopted in this study.The statistical methods used in this study including:descriptive analysis,item analysis,confirmatory factor analysis,reliability test,t-test,correlation analysis,one-way ANOVA.1.Research processFirstly,the Flourishing Scale are translated,back translated and proofread to form their original Chinese version.The initial test version of the Flourishing scale pre-survey by random sample,according to the first survey results,then formed a formal version of the Flourishing scale.Finally,the final version is used in a national survey of college students.2.Object of studyUsing a professional platform what is named 'Wenjuanxing' for data collection questionnaire survey,2387 college students are recruited from China;2065 valid questionnaires were received(86.51%);there were 781 males and 1284 females.The participants were 20.85 years old on average(SD 1.30).There are 435 freshman students,764 sophomores,657 junior students and 209 senior students.3.Assessment toolsThe Flourishing Scale(FS),Satisfaction with Life Scale(SWLS),the seven item Patient Health Questionnaire(PHQ-7),the Mental Health Continuum Short Form(MHC-SF),Purpose in Life Test-Short Form(PIL-SF),Data processing software including SPSS.19.0,Amos21.0Result1.Item Analysis:8 items score were significantly correlated with scale total score;each item showed a significant difference by t-test with high and low group,determining the Flourishing scale consists of 8 items composition.2.Reliability Index:the Flourishing scale Cronbach's a coefficients were 0.948,split-half reliability were 0.917,and test-retest reliability were 0.819.3.Validity Index:The total score and its items of FS were significantly positively correlated with MHC-SF and SWLS;Exploratory Factor Analysis of FS indicates a single factor model,which explained total variance by 75.03%cumulatively;Confirmatory Factor Analysis test the Flourishing scale's construct validity,according to the evaluation criterion of fit index:X2/df =3.923,RMSEA=0.054,GFI=0.987,NFI=0.992,CFI=0.994,AGFI=0.967.Demonstrating that the revised Chinese version of Flourishing scale have excellent construct validity.4.The outcome interpretation of FS:The college students with different levels of well-being were divided and compared by the three point method.The FS scale rating showed that 7.6%of the students were in the low level of well-being,22.8%of the students had a middle level of well-being,29.3%had a higher sense of well-being,and 40.3%had the highest sense of well-being.The differences between the groups and the total FS scores were statistically significant.It shows that the "four division"standard can distinguish the well-being of different college students.5.The FS total score of the College Students was(43.34±8.65),the FS total average score of the College Students was(5.18±1.09),and the college student's FS scores lower than American and Portuguese university students.Male and female college students in respect from others difference entries score was statistically significant(P<0.05);singleton and non singleton FS scale scores and total scores of the items were not statistically significant(P>0.05);there were significant differences in FS score and total score of the entry of college students in different grades(P<0.001);There were differences in the scores of social relation items among the students from different places(P<0.05);Students with better family economic status on FS total score and entry scores were higher than those in other families(P<0.05).6.The applicability of a double factor model of mental health in College Students:(1)Three kinds of mental health hypothesis model were assessed by Confirmatory Factor Analysis,the results show that FS as mental health's positive psychological indicators,better than SWLS as positive indicators in a double factor model of mental health.The double factor model of mental health has good fit index,X2/df=3.043,RMR=0.013,RMSEA=0.031,GFI=0.993,AGFI=0.984,CFI=0.997,IFI=0.997,NFI=0.996.(2)Four division of mental health double factor model:according to the situation of the college students' hearts of high and low and depressive symptoms have no mental health status of four law division,61.9%students were totally mental health;these vulnerable students comprised 17.7%of the sample;approximately 7.7%of the participants were classed into the as symptomatic but content;12.7 students were troubled.The difference in FS,SWLS,MHC-SF,PIL-SF score were statistically significant(the totally mental health>the symptomatic but content>the vulnerable>the troubled)(P<0.001).Differences in PHQ-7 scores for negative mental health indicators were also statistically significant(the totally mental health<the vulnerable<the symptomatic but content<the troubled)(P<0.001).(3)Six Division of mental health double factor model:according to the status of the college students' flourish level and depressive symptoms,complete mental health type of college students(61.9%),part of the mental health of type I(2.6%),Part II(15.1%mental health part I type),sick(7.7%)and part II(7.7%),pathological complete pathological type(4.9%).The difference in FS,SWLS,MHC-SF,PIL-SF score were statistically significant(P<0.001).The difference in the negative psychological health index PHQ-7 score was statistically significant(P<0.001).Conclusions1.Chinese version of the Flourishing scale has good reliability and validity among college students.FS can be used as a new tool for well-being assessment in China.2.College students have higher level of overall happiness in China;there is 40.3%students have the highest well-being;level 29.3%students have a higher level of happiness;22.8%of the students' sense of happiness for the medium level;the low level of well-being in 7.6%students.3.The FS scale is the single factor model of positive psychological indicators of mental health is better than that of the two factor model,can better explain the connotation of College Students' psychological health,and mental health than the traditional assessment model is more comprehensive,suitable for China's assessment of the mental health of College students.4.Based on the double factor mental health model,Among the college students,the proportion of complete mental health was the highest,the proportion of vulnerable persons was higher,the proportion of symptomatic but content was lower,and there is more than 10%students which were classed as completely diseased.5.Six division of psychological health status based on double factor model has good validity;compare to four divisions,it is more susceptible and completely unhealthy for further refinement,and more conducive to the prevention and intervention of mental health.6.Using FS and PHQ-7 to evaluate the double factor model of mental health,only 15 questions can be used to classify the mental health status of the crowd and guide the intervention practice.The utility model is convenient and effective,and is worthy of popularization and application.
