A Study On The Paintings

Luo Pin is the youngest painter of the "Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou" and he is Jing Nong’s student, the guard of Eccentrics. His paintings involve widely and his style is unique, inheriting the Eccentrics’innovative qualities.He took the ghost as creation material and used obscure and ironic art forms to rethink of society reflecting the deep dark in the mid-Qing society with realism. His impact on the later panting style not only in Chinese-style comic precedent, but also for the freehand figures.The " strange" characters used in figure freehand is Vivid and creating an impressionistic portrait of a new literary field. As Eccentrics, why did he select paint ghost that is not easy to be accepted by the world as the theme? What kind of contact about the Chinese painting in the background painted ghost phenomenon and Luo’s life era? How are the art style and artistic works about the ghost theme? What is the meaning and purpose of the role he painted a ghost? These are all the areas to be studied in this paper.This paper is based on the current status of academic research and has a close connection with the historical background and cultural studies,aimed to explore the meaning of Luo’s ghost theme painting.On the basis of the original research about the subject of ghosts,we have analyzed the techniques Luo used.From many angles to explore the political environment,economic life, cultural background and personal experiences influence on Luo’s creation. The topic of this paper wil follow three parts.The first part focuses on the creation of a ghost theme painted by Luo Pin and it conducted a general overview,interpreting of Chinese painting in the background of a painted ghost phenomenon and Luo Pin’s life. It starts from the political, cultural and other areas to explore Luo Pin’s created "ghost" image of the reasons for this.The second part analysis from the Luo Pin ghost theme works, beginning to explore from the secular, fun, ironic aspect ghost image.In order to explain the overall picture presented by the ghost theme artistic features.The third part discusses the significance and function of the ghost paintde by Luo Pin.Luo Pin borrows "ghost" metaphor thing, spicy dark mid-Qing profound reflection of society,and it has the sense of realism, It has a profound effect on future generations figure painting, opening a Chinese-style comic precedent. Luo Pin’s ghost theme painting’s appearing has a significant and profound influence on Chinese "ghost" genre painting creation,it can be said to be an important turning point in China’s "ghost" picture manifestations,expanding the scope of the subject matter and the art of painting.
