A Study Of The Paintings In The Tang Dynasty And The Cultural Phenomenon In The Tang Dynasty

The study of literature about Chinese paintings is based on a variety of subjects such as Literature, Aesthetics, Art history, Cultural history and Comparative literature, has great interdisciplinary meaning. The literary works about Chinese paintings is a special literary form which has not been fully studied yet. Therefore, the study on literary works is very meaningful for this certain literary form. Literature about Chinese paintings is always well connected to cultural phenomenon and Chinese paintings. Therefore through literature about Chinese paintings to study cultural phenomenon and Chinese paintings is a creative and significant way.Historical materials, especially updated research results were systemically collected and analyzed form the point of materialistic history and dialectic. Base on study of previous, by collected and fully studied Literary works about Chinese paintings in Quantangwen, the paper aimed to widely and deeply reveal the connection between Literary works about Chinese paintings and cultural phenomenon in Tang Dynasty.The paper is composed by four parts. The first one is to define literary works about Chinese paintings in Quantangwen and classify these literary works according to certain standards; The second one is to study the connection between cultural phenomenon of portrait painting in Tang dynasty and literary works about portrait paintings, introduce general situation of portrait painting in Tang dynasty and discuss the social and historical factors of its development, analyze and summarize characteristics of portrait painting of Tang dynasty through study of literary works about Chinese paintings and analyze characteristics of literary works about about portrait paintings; The third one is to study the connection between cultural phenomenon of horse in Tang dynasty and literary works about horse paintings, introduce general situation of horse painting of Tang dynasty and introduce famous painters Cao Ba and Han Gan. Then discuss the literary image of horse through study of literary works about horse paintings; The last one is to study the connection between cultural phenomenon of landscape painting in Tang dynasty and literary works about landscape paintings, introduce general situation of landscape painting in Tang dynasty and introduce famous landscape painters Wu Daozi, Wu Sixun and Wang Wei.
