On The Orientation Of Zhou Zuoren 's Literary Criticism

Chou Tso-Jen was the first initator and pioneer of the modern Chinese proses. Heis a famous litterateur, thinker and plays a decisive role in the history of Chinesemodern literature. His literary contribution lies not only in the creation of“Meiwen”and “pen prose literature”, but also on the literary criticism. His literary criticismwas characterised the modern western thought, namely to “people” concern. Eventhe perspective of his literary criticism has changed, it still died not deviate from thepoint of view of human nature. Chou Tso-Jen’s literary criticism is full of tensionand full of a variety of elements. It seems that stultify oneself place, in fact it is theprocess of deepening and fusion of the literary criticism. With the profoundingimplication and colorful personality, his literary criticism has become an independentpart in the modern history of Chinese literary criticism. In this paper, it starts fromthe different aspects of Chou Tso-Jen’s literature criticism, explores its tension andpersonality and the contribution of literary criticism in twentieth century.
