The reform and opening up began in the late1970s brought broad and profound changes to Chinese society also breeds the media transformation. Political economy, popular culture, and other factors has formed the combined impact of news production mechanism on the Popular Cinema. In the overall trend of Chinese media transformation, different types of news media took a different transition path, among them, Popular Cinema is a symbol.This article focused on Popular Cinema as a case study, adopted the media sociology as the research methods, observe the news production process and characteristics of the fourteen years between the resume publication after the Cultural Revolution in1979and1992. Trying to restore the dynamic process of the News reformation in China, from abstract relating to information system reform through the history of this period Popular Cinema’s news practice activities by scene description and theoretical generalization.First part of the article introduced briefly by stated topics of significance, value and research methods, the body is wrote in a political policy stage order, each staging an overview of this period the magazine form, political and economic analysis, respectively, in accordance with three dimensions of the structure, media organizations, as well as cultural traditions and symbolic expression system.
