There are such differences as language habits, culture and logic between Chinese and English, therefore some language problems arise when translating, especially when we want to translate Chinese into English. If the translation strategies or techniques are not used properly, the quality of translation works must be poor, these problems that also arise in the "Introductory Remarks" abstracted from the book named An overall view of Chinese culture mean a big challenge to the translator. According to the analysis of the language barriers and translation difficulties of the "Introductory Remarks" in terms of sentence and vocabulary, aiming at exploring how to use the translation strategies and techniques properly to solve these problems and difficulties that arise out of the difference between the two languages. Moreover, the translator not only wants to make a brief summary through the translation experience but also wants to provide some references for the translation practice.
