Chinese Euphemism is a kind of language phenomenon, which reflected themental characteristics of Han nationality and the nation’s unique cultural psychologyof moderation. Acquisition and using Chinese Euphemism plays an important role inteaching of Chinese as a foreign language. So the skill applies for euphemisms are asignificant criterion of measuring the communicative competence for foreignstudents. There are many theses about Chinese euphemisms, but few papers did theresearch from the concrete classes to do acquisition analysis.The thesis’s research object is the foreign Chinese learners whom are formYunnan Normal University. The main research method is survey. Thesis descriptsthe overall situation of euphemism acquisition of learners at intermediate andadvanced level. First, analyzed the survey, and then did the error a nalysis in detail.From the analysis to summarized the causes of euphemism’s acquisition andproposing appropriate teaching strategies and researching structure.Form the analyze data of the four classes euphemisms, which are socialcommunication, death, physiological changes and sex, we found out that socialcommunication classed Chinese euphemism has the highest accuracy,at70.48%with a few acquisition errors. Sex class Chinese euphemism has the minimumaccuracy, at64.76%with many acquisition errors. And we found that negativepragmatic immigration constrains euphemism acquisition; Cultural difference is thecrucial barrier for foreign Chinese learners. Based on the above conclusion, we putforward to the teaching strategies which are input the Han nationality culturalknowledge into teaching process, study Chinese euphemism in Context Situation,teaching Chinese euphemism pragmatics, and do cultural comparisons betweenChinese cultural and other cultural. Beside we put forward to the acquisitionstrategies for foreign Chinese learners, which are develop Chinese thinking modeand improve the level of Chinese.
