A Contrastive Study Of Common Words In Leiyang Dialect

As everyone knows, phonetics is the out shell of language. It directly reflects on human’s hearing; it supports the language and performs language’orders.There are different polarizations and combinations of phonetics occurred during the development of Han’s society, then there comes the dialect.Dialect derives from language; it has strong vitality and local colors. Dialectology is always considered as the focal point during the language studies all the time. With more segmental, system and concrete language researches, dialectology becomes more and more decisive during the processes of language studies.The article has collected some facts, analyzed from the background, academic controversy and completed researches of Leiyang dialect (dialect which used in Leiyang District, Hunan Province), preliminarily states the special features of Leiyang dialect which is different from other dialects. The writer tries to let us know the Leiyang dialect comprehensively, and deepens a further understanding of Leiyang Dialect.With the experimental phonetics methods, combing the recent academic trends of Leiyang Dialect, this article makes an intensive description on Leiyang dialect. According to the comparison of Leiyang dialect and Mandarin charts, the author analyzes the phonetics features of Leiyang dialect, and then makes a division for it. Meanwhile, the author sums up more bias accents which Leiyang local residents have when they speak Mandarin, making a conclusion for the features of Leiyang dialect, analyzed the reasons why the bias appears. To offer intuitive data for Mandarin teaching in Leiyang area. Against the disputes on the division and attribution of Leiyang dialect which academic experts and the author have, the author proposes his own viewpoints, evidences and consults. On another perspective, this article will help the dialect speakers to acknowledge the correspondence rules between dialect and Mandarin, it has practical significance on Mandarin learning.
