In teaching Chinese as a foreign language, the language teaching and cultureteaching are complementary to each other, restrict each other. Culture teaching canstimulate students’ interest in learning, and promote the improvement of languagecommunicative competence. University of region itself is the students to learn anduse Chinese environment, therefore, the regional culture teaching into the teaching ofChinese as a foreign language, will be to promote the improvement of learners’language.Yunnan has a location advantage of adjacent to Southeast Asia, South Asia, withits unique regional cultural resources, and thus attract a large number of foreignstudents to the Yunnan university to learn Chinese at the same time learning theChinese culture and culture in Yunnan. From the view of development and utilizationof local resources, this paper analyzes the present situation of the Yunnan universityacademic teaching Chinese as a foreign language (including curriculum design,classroom teaching and textbook use), its significance to blend in the tea culture ofYunnan teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and put forward some Suggestionsabout tea culture teaching content and method.
