In recent years, with the rapid development of teaching Chinese as a foreignlanguage career, various colorful cultural elective courses being conducted and waswidely welcomed by Chinese learners and dissemination of Chinese culture played apositive role. With the on going various courses, and foreign language teachers forart and culture elective understanding also in deepening our teaching practice ofpainting and cultural studies conducted in-depth observation and analysis, summaryof teaching experience and teaching material developed outside Chinese paintingculture teaching materials designed to make painting elective foreign languageteaching content more standardized system to improve the efficiency of classroomteaching, cultural studies, cultural transmission to maximize function, stimulatestudents’ enthusiasm for learning.This paper is divided into3chapters: first, introduced the study background, thepurpose and significance of the topic, also mentioned the research questions andtheoretical foundation and research methods.Chapter1is a foreign language and cultural Textbook Painting DesignOverview, respectively, from the textbook needs, six aspects of the design goals,design principles, basic functions, use of objects, materials and innovative designand features topics discussed theoretical preparation.Chapter2is the basis of cultural studies, foreign language teaching paintingdesigns, each part of the description of the materials to make the design, includingthe positioning of teaching materials, teaching capacity and hours of design, styleand design, supporting materials design, text material and compile teachingprinciples recommendations.Chapter3of timber design custom cases, on the basis of the theory of the firstthree chapters, we develop a specific design scenarios to reflect a more intuitivedesign the whole textbook.Finally, the concluding section summarizes the findings and explainsshortcomings of the teaching innovation and design.
