John Locke is an important pioneering and founding characters of recent political thoughts history, and his theoretical design had a profound influence on the era thereafter. His theory of natural rights is the foundation for his political theory; hence, to clarify the meaning of nature concept in the theory of natural rights is the key to appreciating his creation as a modern political philosopher, insofar as Locke deviated from the philosophy of Aristotle, namely, nature is higher than the arts. Still, Locke’s departure is limited, or the divergence as such always contains traditional prudence. Also said, Locke despite time as inner basis and the content of the rule of nature, but carefully retained the title of nature which the nature of the fountain. He lived in an era of change, an era full of possibilities, an era also of chaotic nature. This era called for a new order and identity, based on which Locke opened his era of modern political philosophy with his experience and practical philosophy of position and prudent character. His hands waving the flag of natural law, and the mouth singing the Gospel of freedom and equality, and ultimately to the engineer a clever design and mathematical giants like the delicate calculus to complete the design of earthly kingdom of heaven. With nature, Locke to completely replaced natural law with natural right. The name of god, Locke prepared a piece of pure land for human souls. All in all, nature for Locke, out of its great design, provides the proof of the kingdom of heaven. Earth and god, for Locke, prop up the cross of the human spirit. What this article discusses is the basic points in regard to Locke’s accurate meaning of the concept of natural rights in nature. From Locke’s new formation of the concept of natural into the conflict between traditional and modern,it shows that Locke’s modern political design is of prudence and wisdom. This article mainly focuses on the nature of the concept of change, of natural law in both ancient and modern times to natural rights, inclusion, etc of the new concept of natural according to the logic of its own in the form of integration it has presented. This paper argues that the concept of nature in Locke’s natural rights is based on his epistemology, of which the real content is the light of rational abstract ideas.
