Numbers are symbols that are used to count objects, which have no meaning of good or bad, positive or negative, weal or woe. As the development of language and culture, the cultural and expressive implication of numbers have been enriched a lot. Some numbers have given extra cultural meaning expect for counting.Cultures and languages are interdependent. A languages can’t exist without it’s related culture. Numeral words exist in every culture, which composed of numbers and words. Every numeral word has its cultural implication and meaning.Learning of a language means learning of its related culture. Learning of Chinese language is also the same as learning of Chinese culture. Chinese numeral words and that of my mother language will be comparatively studied in this paper in order to completely illustrate Chinese numeral symbolic culture.This paper comparatively studied numeral words and their related culture of Mongolian and Chinese languages from four angles:boundaries on numeral words; Mongolian numeral words and their related culture of the Mongolia; Chinese numeral words and their related culture of the People’s Republic of China; Comparison between Mongolian and Chinese numeral words and their related cultures.
