This practice report is an English-Chinese translation on the basis of translating the fourth part sustainable product platform, selected from the management class text of EARTH,INC. — using nature’s rules to build sustainable profits. EARTH,INC., which is a text about business management, discusses how to use nature as the inspiration to transform business from resource-poor type to resource-recycling one and how to reconfigure it from value chain to value cycle, and provides an integrated sustainable development strategy, with the aim of using industrys products line to gain economic benefits in scale as well as providing sufficient theoretical basis and practical examples for businesses to realize ecological sustainable development.Based on analyzing the characteristics of management text, this paper focuses on the solutions for translating participial construction and attributive clause. It summarizes five translation methods of participial construction which are suitable for the condition of this management text, utilizing pre-attribute, post-attribute and recasting approaches to deal with attributive clause. Finally, it presents and lists some problems which are unfathomed for the translator in the translating process, summarizing a bit of gains and inspirations gained during the translating process.
